Summary

We commend the Office of the President for the early release of the 2018 list of Philippine holidays under Proclamation No. 269. At this early, business establishments, public offices, schools, and other private offices could plan ahead courses of action towards effective operations during those Philippine holidays under Proclamation No. 269.

For private and public employees, business owners, corporate officers, freelancers in the Philippines, and students of public and private schools, it is a good opportunity to plan a vacation in tourist destinations in the Philippines (e.g. Boracay Philippines, Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Davao, Camiguin, Leyte-Samar, etc), or plan travels abroad. Please note that it is best to book a plane ticket long ahead of travel dates for cheaper airline tickets.

Enjoy your Holidays!

Pagudpud Ilocos PhilippinesAs the group of affiliated companies celebrate its second year of successful operations, the group finally decided to go for its annual company outing, an Ilocos, Philippines  tour: Vigan-Laog-Pagudpud Tours.  Everyone in the group is quite excited as they would travel for a company sponsored outing for a look back at history and a witness of the unique tourist attractions in Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud, Ilocos, Philippines. The Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud Ilocos Philippines Tour has lot to offer but with the time constraint and the number of the group, we simply made the most of what we could enjoy.

Life is not about work and work should be a joyful life activity.

The Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud Ilocos Tour

The Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud Ilocos Philippines Tour is a joyful four (4) days, three (3) nights (4D/3N) tour bound to leave Makati Philippines at 9PM on Thursday and  will leave Pagudpud, Ilocos, Philippines on Sunday 9AM. Travel time to Pagudpud, Ilocos, Philippines is a tiring but fun 9 to 11 hours from Makati City. From Makati, we took Osmena Highway-Balintawak to NLEX (North Luzon Expressway),  then took SCTEX  (Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway), then TPLEX (Tarlac Pangasinan La Union Expressway), then highway going through Vigan, Laoag, and Pagudpud, Ilocos Philippines.

Vigan, Ilocos Sur

After a long drive, the first stop attraction is a look back at history in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Enjoy walking in the old roads and stone establishments in Vigan and feel the life of our ancestors. View at night is even better for a feel of how the past looked like.

Malacanang of the North

This is the place of former President Marcos during their time. Fill your eyes with joy seeing the views around the palace, the furniture the Marcos Family used to live, the family pictures along with other notable personalities in the international arena that time, the Marcos collection of its writings and reading materials of the past kept in the palace till now, and the stories of the place.

Sand Dunes, Ilocos Philippines

Going for adventure in the fine sand is a go in Sand Dunes Ilocos Philippines. Go for an 4×4 ride touring the sand dunes, steep down hills and up hills. To cope up with the heat of the sun, give it up for the halo-halo in the nearby shades home made by locals in the area.

Bangui Windmills, Ilocos Philippines

Built during the Marcos regime, Bangui Windmills Ilocos supplies cheap electricity in the area using the renewable natural resource, wind. Aside from entertaining your thoughts on how it was engineered, ready for a variation of picture posing in the area with the Bangui Windmills Ilocos as a background.

Kabigan Falls, Ilocos Philippines

Get a closer feel of nature in Kabigan Falls, Ilocos Philippines. Along the way, the trek in early morning is refreshingly cold with fresh air, green surrounding, and cold water. You can swim the cold waters of the Kabigan Falls.

Cape Bojeador or Burgos Lighthouse, Ilocos Philippines

Established during the Espanish colonial period  sometime in 1892 as part of its master plan to illuminate the Philippines archipelago, the Cape Bojeador in Burgos, Ilocos Philippines still functions till now. See for yourself how Spanish engineers made such structure to last until now.

Accomodations at Pagudpud Ilocos Philippines

While there could be a number of hotels in the area, a cheaper accommodation in Pagudpup Ilocos Philippines is what they call as “homestay“. This are house for rent for tourist groups with a number of air conditioned rooms, a sala, dining area, kitchen with utensils and gas for free cooking of tourists with the food they could buy from local market or bring with them from Manila. We got a bungalow type with three air-conditioned rooms enough for the beauty rest of the group.

Side trips to Baguio City and Manaoag Church Pangasinan

Having a number of first Luzon travelers in the group, we give in to the side trip to Baguio City Philippines and go straight to the strawberry fields for the strawberry picking experience, the Baguio parks, the Mansion, the Lion’s head, the pasalubong at Good Sheherd, and got down Baguio through the famed Kenon Road. To give thanks to the successful and joyful trip, the group headed to the Manaoag Church in Pangasinan before finally heading to Makati base.

Such was a wonderful trip for the fast growing group of affiliate professional companies for accounting and taxation seminar, accounting, tax, and audit services. Next company break would be another memorable trip within the Philippines to energize and boost the interest of the staff and team members, and to reward their untiring support for the management goals and objectives.
