Lately, there are numerous readily available payroll software options in the market. Despite the convenience of these tools for uploading and generating payroll, we believe that having a strong foundation in payroll computation is crucial for every business owner to consider.
This seminar workshop aims to provide a holistic view on how to compute Philippine payroll based on labor rules and guide payroll officers and business owners.
Learning points:
Session 1:
– Learn basic payroll computations (basic pay, OT pay, holiday pay, night shift differential?);
– Learn how to determine daily rate from monthly rate and vice-versa;
– Learn how to compute deductions for late and absences;
– Learn how to compute benefits – maternity, retirement, etc;
– Learn how to compute mandatory deductions – SSS, PHIC, and HDMF;
– Learn how to use BIR withholding tax table for tax computation;
– Learn how to make basic excel payroll register and payslip
Session 2:

– Understand how compensation is defined in the Tax Code, as amended;
– Learn what items of compensation, employee benefits, and other grants to employees are
subject to withholding taxes;
– Learn what items are exempt from withholding tax on compensation (such as deminimis
benefits, employer convenience rule, retirement benefits);
– Learn how to prepare & file BIR Form No. 1601C monthly;
– Learn how to prepare & file BIR Form No. 1604CF & Alphalist attachment annually;
– Learn how to prepare & file BIR Form No. 2316 for employee’s certificates;
– Learn how fringe benefits to managerial and supervisory are being subjected to tax; and
– Learn how compensation, salaries, wages, employee benefits, and other employee grants
are being assessed by BIR.
